DodoTalk recommends Web App: You can practice by opening it with a browser, no installation package required. If you want to enter it from the home screen like a local app, you can add the page to the home screen (also called "install the app" if the browser supports it).
Who is it suitable for?
- I often practice using mobile phones/tablets and want to avoid typing websites.
- I am used to Web App, but I don’t want to find it from browser bookmarks every time.
It is still recommended that complete plans, family/teaching, bills, etc. be completed in the Web App; for LINE light entry, see Open in LINE.
Operation points
Please open the Web App first and then add it using the current browser. Please use Safari, Chrome or Edge; do not operate in the built-in windows of WeChat and LINE. Please use Safari for iPhone / iPad.
iPhone / iPad
- Open the app in Safari.
- Click "Share" → "Add to Home Screen".
- Confirm the name and add it.
Android / PC
- Open the app with Chrome or Edge.
- Select "Install App" or "Add to Home Screen" from the menu.
- Follow the prompts to complete.
The difference between ## and LINE
| Add to home screen | LINE light entry | |---|--------------|-------------| | Open method | Desktop icon → Browser shell | Must be opened in LINE application | | Personal master account | Yes | Yes | | Child/student account | Yes (Web App login) | No |
if…
- Install option not found: Change to Chrome / Edge / Safari; or update the browser version.
- Still a web page label after adding: Some browsers only create shortcuts with the same function.
- Children want to practice: You still need to log in with Child Account and Student Account in the Web App, and you cannot count on LINE.
