Main path: level check → plan → practice

Matches Today’s step on Home: speaking level check → make an AI plan → Start → speak → Progress.

The first time you use DodoTalk, go through the loop below in order. Today’s step on Home tells you which step you are on.

The five steps

  1. Speaking level check (not a formal exam): see roughly where you are. See What the speaking level check is.
  2. Make an AI plan: pick a plan type, write a clear goal, and save it under Not started. See Make an AI plan.
  3. Tap Start: the plan becomes Active. See Start a plan and the active limit.
  4. Practise every day: Learn shows what to do today; the Practice page is where you do it. See Your first practice and What Learn shows.
  5. Check Progress: review the timeline and compare stages. See What Progress shows.

Why this order

If you skipWhat usually happens
The level check, going straight to a planGoal and difficulty may be well off
Tapping Start after making a planThe plan stays Not started and Home does not treat it as a plan to follow
Practice, only making plansNo practice records, so progress is hard to see
Progress, only practisingHard to adjust plans or tasks in time

A day by role (short examples)

  • Personal: Today’s step suggests the check → make a plan and start it → Learn shows today’s work → practise on the Practice page → review in Progress.
  • Parent: make a plan for the child and start it → allocate minutes → the child practises on their own account → the parent checks via proxy view.
  • Teaching: make and start a plan for a learner, or assign tasks → the learner practises → check the summary before class.

If…

  • Today’s step stays on the level check: finish one speaking level check, then go to Plans in Space or continue from Home. There is no separate Plan bottom tab.
  • You made a plan but Today’s step still says Start: go to Space → Plans → Not started and tap Start.
  • You want to speak before making a plan: fine, but take the check and start a plan soon so Today’s step stays continuous.
